Quick Start

  1. Insert chiled items and ice – 2:1 Ratio of Ice to Contents for Max Performance
  2. When packing for travel or storage after using the cooler, dry of the internal bag through the dry compartment to remove any condensation
  3. When using the bag for both dry storage and cold at the same time, unfold the Dual-Mode Shelf™ and insert according the instructions below.

Packing for Travel

• Push the internal dry bag up toward the top cooler opening to provide max dry storage space.

• Pack your personal items and secure smaller belongings in the internal zipper pocket.

• Store your collapsible shelf flat at the bottom of the dry compartment when not in use.

Arriving at your Destination

  1. Empty your travel items to expand the cooling compartment to its maximum capacity or use the Dual-Mode Shelf™ for both cold and dry storage.
  2. Use the collapsible shelf to divide your bag into:
  • Top: Cooler Compartment (up to 11 lbs)
  • Bottom: Dry compartment (though cool!)
  • Tip when using the shelf: Load with ice and up to 12 standard cans—or mix drinks, snacks, and other essentials using both compartments. 2:1 Ice to Contents is recommended

Dual-Mode Shelf™: How to Use It

1. Unfold the Legs: Rotate them outward ¾ turn.

2. Position Correctly: JC logo upright, lip edges facing up.
3. Push Dry Bag Upward: Ensure it’s out of the way.
4. Insert the Shelf: Fit snugly against the back and sides of the dry storage area.
5. Pack Your Drinks: Shelf holds up to 11 lbs.

Tip: Always start with chilled items and for best results use a 2-1 ration of ice to contents. You can always use ice packs.

6. Stow Away When Done: Fold flat and place in the base of the dry compartment. Note: Velco should meet when folded too! correctly.

Care & Maintenance

  • Condensation is Normal: After cooler use, wipe down the interior of the dry compartment before switching to dry storage. This prevents moisture transfer to clothes or electronics. The material for the collapsible bag allows for exceptionally fast drying and minimal condensation.
  • Cleaning: Spot clean with mild soap and water. Avoid bleach or machine washing. For detailed cleaning tutorials, visit jcbags.com/blog.

  • Pack Smart: Use the external side zipper pockets to organize and secure travel documents, keys, and gadgets.
  • Use External Straps: Front Velcro accessories straps hold up to 1.5 lbs—perfect for beach chairs, speakers, hats.
  • Hydration on the Go: Store a bottle in the side mesh for quick access.
  • Flight Hack: Store valuables in the zippered side pouch so you can access them easily in flight.
  • Quick Access: Stash a bottle opener or sunscreen in the lower front sleeve pocket for fast retrieval.
  • Attach to Roller Bags: Use the luggage sleeve for seamless airport travel.
